The nomination period for the position of Mayor closed on February 14th at 2:00 PM. As only one candidate was nominated, an election is not required.
On behalf of the Council, I am pleased to welcome Hector MacLeod as the Mayor of Alberton. Mayor MacLeod brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as both Mayor of Alberton and as an MLA for the Province.
We look forward to working with Mayor MacLeod in continuing to serve our community.
