The second anniversary of opening of the Alberton Community Pantry is almost here. This year the pantry was even busier with new faces every day. As with the first year we were open ,we did have our rough patches including having to deal with people who have been rude and verbally abusive towards our staff . Thankfully most of our patrons are respectful and truly appreciate the valuable service the pantry provides.
Last summer we were very fortunate to have a few individuals who generously shared their abundance from their home gardens. When combined with what we were able to supply from our own onsite greenhouse, we were able to provide fresh vegetables into November, which was quite an accomplishment.
While we cannot possibly name all of the individuals who have supported us over the past year with donations, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses/organizations for their generosity and continued support
Foodland Bloomfield (Second Harvest)

We expect that in the coming year food insecurity will be at an all time high and the demand on our little pantry will be greater than ever. That being said, donations of food and personal care items can be dropped off at the Alberton Town Office Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We also accept e-transfers which can be sent to donna@townofalberton.ca
On behalf of the Town of Alberton Staff & the numerous individuals and families that you have helped in 2024, a heartfelt thank you and Merry Christmas!
